Just to spare all of you the suspense, I still haven't heard back from any more law schools. Yup, it seems as though they like to torture me by just not letting me know what's going on - all I really want is to know where Janessa and I will be for the next three years. So far we've gotten into St. Louis and gotten rejected by U of Illinois, but other than that there is no news. Hopefully next week we'll have something more to say about that.
This last week was packed full of stuff for Janessa's work. Tuesday-Thursday she was on a business trip, and other than taking a wrong turn on the way back to Madison (no, she wasn't driving) I think everything went well. Although it's a demanding job, she does seem like she's getting more confident as the weeks go on. Last night her work had a big party for their 30th anniversary. It basically was just a bunch of eating which, for me, was amazing. How long she'll have the job, however, really depends on whether or not we stay in Madison for law school. Which, as I've said, is completely out of our hands.
Today I was reminded of a fact that I should have known, but somehow forgot. Some things happened at Church today that led me to tell Janessa "I bet I know more about babies than you." Needless to say, my super-smart, ultra-competitive wife promptly found a baby quiz online and proved me wrong. I will never make the mistake of challenging my wife again...
