Poop. Being a mom has taught me a lot of things, so today will be part 1 of a two part blog on baby bodily functions. My first topic is the not so lovely smelling, not so lovely looking, poop.
Carter is a master pooper. When he was really little he would poop every feeding almost without fail. Now it is a little less predictable, but plentiful nontheless. People say that a baby's poo is one of the ways you can tell if they are sick. Apparently if something changes it may mean the baby is sick. This doesn't really work for me. Poop doesn't talk to me. Sometimes I think people who say it does are full of poo themselves.
Something else I learned early on--poo is not a good accessory to an outfit. My master pooper shot poo at me one day while changing his diaper, not cool! It shot across the room and did some damage along the way. Then just a few Sundays ago a friend was holding Carter and we heard the familiar pooping sounds. We giggled and waited a minute or two to make sure he was done before Brett took him out to change him. After Brett took Carter my friend noticed some moisture on her dress. Yes, Carter had pooped a big poop and it made its way onto my friend's dress. I was horrified!
If nothing else, Carter should be really good at sharing. My next post will also touch on his propensity to share other things.
P.S. My postings would be more regular if I could figure out a way to get a post from my head to the computer without having to type it. I need a mind-reader blogging system. I think of different blog posts, usually at 3 am, but have a Really hard time finding time to type them up. Obviously.
