Things are going well for us as we continue to get acclimated to our new, normal ward. With all of the kids in the ward Janessa and I have been trying pretty hard these last few weeks to get a few of them to play with us during Sacrament Meeting. Yesterday we succeeded so well that we got a little girl to fire both her parents. Yup, while we were playing peek-a-boo and making faces at her across the bench she turns to her mom and says, "I fired you Mommy!." A few minutes later she turns to her Dad and says the same thing. She was probably just being sassy, but it was still funny nonetheless...Her brother, feeling left out from all of the attention paid to his sister then tries to get our attention. "My name's Mike," he says out of the blue "And I have cool toys." Yes Mike, next time Janessa's partyin' with her co-workers on the mean streets of Peoria, I'm definitely inviting you over so we can play GI-Joes...
Other than our child-related adventures at Church, things are going good for us. Janessa's still chugging along at her job, I'm sitting at home looking for one, and we're both waiting to hear back from all the law schools privileged enough to receive applications from me. I ended up applying to 11 different schools (a lot, I know) just so I wouldn't repeat my undergraduate mistake and have only one option. Just like with undergrad though, crappy schools keep on sending us their mailers...I really just wish they'd do us all a favor, save the environment, and not send them out. Ave Maria School of Law - no matter how good your flier is, I'm not going to grace you with my presence. The fact that you're moving to Florida next year shows just how desperate you really are to attract students...
Anyways, in no particular order, here are the possible places Janessa and I could end up in the fall. Feel free to vote in the comments section where you think we'll end up (or where you want us to end up)!!!

Well, I love the Family blog! I think I will have to vote the U of U so that we can actually see you once in a while. Cant wait to find out!
I think I am going to have to place a vote for the University of Utah as well.
I think the choice is obvious, and it's not U of U.
I'm going to have to go with U of U!!!!!!! just as ranell said!! we haven't seen you FOREVER!!!
Scott, the truth is that U of I is really my first choice. It'd be hard to turn it down if I was to get in there.
Still, I should have known how this little exercise would turn out considering the fact that 75-80% of the people that read the blog are from Utah.
I'll change it up and say unlv cause then you would be close to st. george and you could experience some warm weather!!!
