Taking the Plunge...

You may think the title of this week's post is fairly straightforward, but it is not. It could refer to an incident that occurred yesterday morning involving a bobby pin and our toilet. Apparently a woman living in our apartment (who will remain nameless) had a bobby pin randomly drop out of her hair into the toilet while she was getting ready. After thinking about retrieving said pin, this woman took the more prudent course of action and flushed the object away. Maybe it was funnier when this woman was telling me the story, but I figured I'd share it anyway...

The title of this week's post could also refer to recent developments regarding the future location, work, and school situation of this branch of the George Family. It does, so you will not be bored with any more awkward toilet-bobby pin stories.

This week was big for Janessa and I, as we decided to go ahead and begin the process of formally saying yes to ASU. Today we got together all of the stuff to send off to them (Acceptance of Admission form, seat deposit check, etc.), so we will now definitely be down there in a couple of months. When exactly that will be depends in large part on where we're going to live, which may also get set up here in the next few weeks. Finding a new place to live in an area where you have no connections is quite stressful, so we were relieved when we saw ASU's Family Housing options. They're not located on the ASU campus in Tempe, but instead are about 20 minutes away in Mesa. We'd like to live there for the first year just until we get used to the area, bit we'll see if we can get in.

Other than stuff moving forward with ASU, this last week has been pretty busy work-wise. Janessa was in Peoria to work with a client last week and will be this upcoming week as well. I've been putting in close to 60 hours a week with TruGreen, which only increases my desire to go to law school. We're both getting a little worn-down working, so it'll be nice to have a break with Memorial Day.

Have a great week!
